The Crown, Netflix’s English series that was based on Queen Elizabeth II’s life and reign, is likely to stop production on Season 6. This comes after the Royal member died on Thursday.
However, Netflix is yet to announce the decision officially.
Queen Elizabeth II took over the throne in 1952 and was the eldest’s reigning monarch at 96. She died in Balmoral, with her family by the side. Following her death, her son Charles III succeeds as the King.
It is to be noted that her death comes at the time when The Crown‘s fifth season is set to premiere in November on Netflix. Imelda Staunton will play Queen Elizabeth, while Jonathan Pryce will play Prince Philip.
